Picture from – Pinterest

I’ve been enjoying my favourite pastime, researching the latest styles and trends  for all you trendy Wendy’s out there!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, life is far too short to be anything less than fabulous!

You want to rock your faux fur on the school run? ROCK IT! That coat is far too nice to spend day after day hanging up for best, What is best? Does best actually ever happen once you become a Mum? I’m not sure when the last “best” was for me?

You want to wear those studded boots to the supermarket, wear them and clip clop round the store like a BOSS!

Be you, do you and show the world what you got!

Here’s some fashion inspiration inspired by the catwalk trends for 2017/18 to make this Winter your most stylish yet!

I researched current trends and then found you all some examples of each trend on the one and only Pinterest, my absolute favourite site for all types of ideas, tips, tricks and inspiration.

All the pictures on this blog post, unless labelled otherwise  are from Pinterest so you’ll be able to find them easily or explore the looks further! I’ve also tried to find you each trend, so you can see which shops/brands are on point with the latest styles!

Red is in! Try adding a splash of red to your wardrobe. Make like a strawberry 🍓   and either dress from head to toe in this gorgeous shade or simply add a red accessory or pair of boots/shoes for a splash of style!

New Look do this pair of amazing block heeled boots, they are just like the pictures from Pinterest and are a fantastic price, £27.99!❤️

Silver Hair

This year it’s been all about grey but 2018 is going to be all about silver hair! This is a more metallic finish compared to the matte greys we have been seeing. Silver hair is far glossier with a touch of shimmer, shine and magic added to every strand!

Subtle Smokey Eyes

The smokey eye is going far more subtle. Gentle washes of greys, taupes and soft cream shimmers beautifully blended for a gentle covering of colour.

Morphe Color Koffe Palette  would be perfect for creating this look. You can buy the palette for £23.00 from Beauty Bay

Taking it back to the groovy days baby! Fashion has a 70’s vibe going on and corduroy is back on the scene! I love this look!

Urban Outfitters  do these fantastic  BDG Pink Corduroy Cocoon Trousers for £49.00. These trousers look so cute with trainers, such a comfy outfit to wear, add a chunky knit for cosy chic!

Bold Nails

Bold nails are big! The bolder the better, when it comes to nails think confidence, think power!

Dirty Blonde

This hair colour is extremely flattering! Goodbye peroxide, hello golden shades. Far more youthful, this will enhance your complexion rather than washing it out!

00A5B508-99B0-47B8-A174-E225AF607B0EFluff, Fur and Feathers

Well, that’s me sorted then! Probably one of my favourite trends! It’s all about textures, fluffiness, faux fur and feathers. The key with this trend is ‘fun’ think bold colours and patterns, think retro style and personality.

Topshop  do this gorgeous Multi Coloured Faux Fur Coat reduced from £89.00 to £65.00!

Low Slung Bun

Effortless chic and effortlessly cool, this simple hairstyle is back on trend! Such an easy style to master in the mornings too!

Bold Lips

When it comes to your lips, it’s all about looking like you mean business! I’m talking seriously vampy, dramatic and dark! This looks not for the faint hearted, if you dare to darken, check out these looks and make a bold lip statement!

NARS Audacious Lipstick In Liv £25.00 from FEELUNIQUE is a fantastic lipstick for creating this look!

No Makeup, Makeup

If you aren’t a fan of heavy makeup and vampy lips, this is the trend for you! It’s all about wearing enough to make you looked fresh faced and flawless without looking like you are wearing any makeup at all! A good trick for your lashes is to get them tinted and then apply clear mascara like this one for £10 from The Bodyshop you can also use this to groom your brows into place without having to use a heavy brow product.

Chunky Knits

Oooh cosy, another one of my favourites! You can’t go wrong with a chunky knit and they are currently on trend, the chunkier the better! Be as snug as bug in a rug whilst looking super glam in comfort with oodles of style!

I found this gorgeous Mustard Chunky Cable Knit Cardigan for £42.00 from River Island

Low High Shine Ponytails

Think groomed perfection, this isn’t just a case of slinging your hair back. This is glossy, glass like hair, neatly tied in a low ponytail. Straighten your hair first for a sleek, poker straight finish. You’ll need to add a high gloss shine spray too. My favourite is TIGI Bed Head Headrush Superfine Shine Spray  £8.71 from Amazon

Kohl Eyeliner

Its time to take it back to the old school! Eyeliner has taken a 90’s vibe and it’s all about lining your inner bottom lash line with lashings of black kohl! I love a long lasting kohl eyeliner and by far, the best I’ve used was Clarins Crayon Khol £17.50 from Clarins. These eyeliners are so soft on your delicate eye area and so easy to apply, they literally melt onto your skin.  The pencils are highly pigmented, so you get Intense colour from one application. The best thing is that they come in seven different colours, Carbon Black, Intense Brown, Intense Blue, Platinum, Smokey Plum, Intense Green and True Violet, so you can experiment with different looks to match different outfits!

In another nod to the 90’s, the scrunchie is back! Who remembers wearing these the first time round then? No cool 90’s chic was complete without either one of these in her hair or one on her wrist! You can buy a pack of five from Urban Outfitters for £10.00, they have other choices too!

Big Bouncey Hair

It’s time to book in for those big bouncey blow dries, the bigger the better in actual fact! Full on manes of glory are on trend for Winter 2017/18 so call your stylist and book a slot!

Floating Eyeliner

Now, this look won’t be for everyone, but it’s lots of fun and does look pretty cool. Floating eyeliner is a creative way to add quirkiness to your look and you could experiment with so many different colours!

Crystal Nails

Nails are going blingtastic and what better way to sparkle your way through the festive season than with a full set of dazzlers like these!

Statement Footwear

If you are going to get your shoes on, get them on and make a statement! Statement footwear is on a trend. Think studded, pearl embellished and detail, it’s all about the details! I found this amazing pair of Alec Studded Ankle Boots  from Topshop for £79.00, these are going on my list, I love them!❤️

Metallic Makeup

This looks so pretty! Channel your inner She-Bot and shine like a diamond!

Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in Rose Gold Retro    from Beauty Bay £23 is a subtle metallic and will give you a gentle wash of grownup metallic sheen. There are other gorgeous colours too!

Coloured Mascara

Coloured mascara is big right now! I like dark plums, they are really flattering if you are fair skinned and actually much gentler than black. The good thing about coloured mascara is, you can be subtle or far out bold, there are so many colours to choose from! Yves Saint Laurent Vinyl Couture Mascara £25.50 from FEELUNIQUE is amazing! You can get this mascara in the best colours, if you are feeling daring, there is shocking pink! Switch it up and pop it on your brows too, who said brows have to be natural?!

It’s time to make like a modern day Audrey Hepburn and get your headscarf out! This trend is fantastic for bad hair days and is a real timeless classic.  I love this ASOS 60’s Printed Headscarf reduced from £6.00 to just £3.50 from ASOS

Picture from –

Fringed Bobs

This is such a cute hairstyle, so fresh and youthful! A fringe can really soften your features and will frame your face! A sleek bob has always been a timeless classic, so elegant and stylish. If you are after a change, this is the style of the moment!

Combat Boots

If there’s ever a boot that means serious business, it’s the combat boot! I live in my Doc Martens, they are so comfy and perfect for this time of year! These are the perfect school run boots, they are made for walking!

Statement Tights

If you like getting your legs out and the weather is against you, this cosy little trend should help! Think statement legs, tights with detail, not just your boring black deniers! This pair of WOLFORD BLOSSOM FASHION TIGHTS £35 from UK Tights are spot on!

Glitter Boots

We all love a bit of glitter and how cool are these boots! Perfect for dressing up your denim and adding a little something special to your outfit! I found this gorgeous pair of ASOS RAINBOW Sequin Ankle Boots £38.00 from ASOS

Picture from –

Graphic Liner

Do you dare to wear? This is probably a little bit too out there for everyday makeup but it’s a trend and it’s too cool not to share! This type of look takes practice and a steady hand but once perfected, could look amazing!

Peach Cheeks and Lips

This look is a little easier to pull off! Peach  🍑 is such a flattering colour and will really make your skin glow! SWEET PEACH GLOW £42 from Too Faced will give you gorgeous peachy cheeks. For your lips, Two Faced SWEET PEACH CREAMY PEACH OIL LIP GLOSS In Poppin Peach, £19 from Too Faced is perfect for a perfect peachy pout!

Well I don’t don’t know about you guys but I’m excited about this seasons trends! I love the retro feel to many of the styles, I love clothes with character!

Don’t forget to check out the charity shops, especially for faux fur and corduroy, you may find some wonderfully unique pieces, for a fraction of the shop prices! Another place to try is good old eBay you’d be amazed at what you can find on there! My favourite search is ‘Vintage’ the best bags and coats come up, there are treasures a plenty on that site! I did a quick search for Faux Fur Coat and there were hundreds! Type in Vintage Faux Fur Coat and you’ll fall in love! With most of the prices at £35.00 and under, you can’t go wrong!

Have fun being fabulous!
